Here is a video where a Mustang Jr was featured in a Pizza Hut Commercial in 1965. Yes, that is a full grown adult driving! |
This is the fiberglass body of a Mustang Jr. After an internet search, I found www.jrcentral.com. The website belongs to Lee Exline, and he is the expert on these promotional cars. He does really great work. Since I have no idea of how this was originally constructed, I ordered a frame from him that was appropriate. So far, I have the frame and four of the original tubeless tires that are surprisingly still being manufactured.
The plans are:
-Electric Chain-Sprocket Drivetrain
-Forward and Reverse
-30 Minute Run Time per Charge
-20 MPH Top Speed
-Working Head Lights
-2 Controller Settings - Governed for Kids - Non-Governed to Top Speed
